Bioinformatic Analyst / Scientist II

Duration: 06 Months

Job Category:  Scientific

Industry: Pharma

We are seeking a Bioinformatics Analyst to assist in multi-omics data analysis and set up network biology pipelines for supporting Client’s target discovery programs and indication prioritization efforts. The role involves analyzing large collections of bulk and single cell transcriptomic data, performing differential expression analysis and meta-analysis and interpret results using gene set enrichment analysis, network biology approaches and other relevant post-processing method, including machine learning based methods. It will also involve multi-omics data analysis (proteomics, epigenetics, genetic) and collaborating with a diverse team to integrate multi-omics evidence with other workstreams.

Scope:

  • Review, format and ingest relevant differential expression results internally and publicly available.
  • Automate and improve transcriptomic analysis pipeline (differential expression meta-analysis, gene set enrichment…)
  • Prototype innovative network biology and AI/ML methods for multi-omics analysis and make them production ready.
  • Write and automate Rmarkdown or Rshiny reports.
  • Coordinate with the project team to integrate multi-omics evidence with other evidence workstreams.

Skills:

  • Experience with post-processing of transcriptomic differential expression results (GSEA, GSVA, meta-analysis…).
  • Experience with network biology or AI/ML methods for bulk and pseudo-bulk transcriptomic and multi-omics (WGCNA, OmicsFold, autoencoders, etc).
  • Good R programming skills.
  • HPC and cloud computing environments (AWS, GCP).
  • Some experience in human genetics is preferred, e.g., GWAS summary statistics postprocessing, mendelian randomization, colocalization, polygenic scores.
  • Very good communication and collaboration skills.
