Business Consultant II

Duration: 12 Months

  • Support the Green Power Connection Team by assisting Municipal, Commercial, and Residential customers with their Electric Vehicle (EV) energy journeys. Includes significant interface with customers via phone, email, and face-to-face.
  • Educating customers about EV options and corresponding programs, services, incentives, and requirements (at ComEd, the state, nationally)
  • Providing guidance and assistance to Municipal, Commercial, and Residential customers as they navigate the Beneficial Electrification rebate process as it aligns with the legislative requirements.
  • Assisting customers who require electric service upgrades to support EV charging infrastructure.
  • Monitor, interface, and coordinate activities with internal and external groups to ensure customers are connected to appropriate departments or service providers to assist with electric service upgrades, fleet assessments, EV charger installation, meter exchanges, and other steps for completion of the enrollment process. Correspond with customers to ensure that required forms and agreements are completed and returned by the customer.
  • Corresponding and interacting with internal and external groups and customers to ensure customer accounts are appropriately assigned to rate programs; submit billing requests.
  • Responding to customer questions and concerns about service upgrade costs, application status, energy usage, rate optimization, and billing, etc. 
  • Providing proactive services to customers: enhancing EV and charging education for customers, creating and updating internal documentation for EV programs, supporting optimization of rate programs, monitoring electric service upgrade timelines, ensuring customers are aware of status and timelines, etc.

Position Requirements:

  • Customer Service experience
  • Electric Vehicle (EV) knowledge or experience
  • Basic electric service and interconnection knowledge or experience
  • Program coordination experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to provide effective customer education and communication. Includes significant interface with customers via phone, email, and face-to-face
  • Comfortable with use of Microsoft Office tools: Outlook, Teams, Excel, Powerpoint, Word, etc.
