Detailed Job Description:

Position Summary:

The Certified Nurse Aide is an integral part of the clinic team. The role assists in providing medical services in a unique retail setting. Under the supervision of a Health Services Supervisor, with day to day direction from the clinic Provider, the Certified Nurse Aide will advance the evidence based practice in all patient encounters as they perform the major job duties and tasks within the scope of their training.

 

Major Job Duties and Tasks:

The Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) will work in an enhanced capacity to drive significant clinical and operational efficiencies at the practice level. Under the supervision of a Health Services Supervisor, with day-to-day direction from the clinic Provider, the CNA will focus on appointment management, workflow optimization & support, and enable growth, while also being able to provide a limited scope of clinical patient care based on state regulations.

 

  1. Patient Care
    1. Assist with managing patients in the waiting space and level set wait time expectations.
    2. Assist with patient registration and answer questions regarding services.
    3. Act as a chaperone if a patient or provider in the primary exam room requests one.
  2. Clinic Environment
    1. Maintain clinic rooms and waiting area so they are clean, uncluttered, and ready for patient care.
    2. Ordering and maintaining adequate supplies for the clinic. 
  3. Additional Duties
    1. Perform additional medical services that fall within the certification of a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) under the supervision of a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Associate, such as obtain vital signs, document in electronic health record, and assist with procedures.

 

Required Qualifications:

Minimum of one-year related work experience to include working with patients in an outpatient or ambulatory care setting and under the direct supervision of an advanced practice provider.

* Previous experience and ability to demonstrate documenting within an Electronic Medical Record required
* Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills


Licensure/Certifications:

The CNA must have a Nurse Aide or Nurse Assistant Certification.

 

Shift Timings:         

  • Mon-Fri 8am to 8pm, Sat and Sun 9am to 6pm
