Pay Rate:

Local Pay - $ 57 / h r on w2 & 2280/ Week on w2.

Travel Pay - $ 64 / hr on w2 & 2560/ Week on w2.

REQUISITE & PREFERRED SKILLS:

Experience in a healthcare setting; knowledge of community agencies and resources

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Meeting with clients and identifying their dietary needs by assessing their health, exercise routine, and food habits.
  • Developing and helping implement personalized nutrition plans for clients.
  • Offering advice on how to stay healthy and providing support to help clients with their progress.
  • Overseeing the consultation calendar to ensure efficiency.
  • Simplifying important information for clients and explaining the benefits of staying on a healthy diet.
  • Helping establish short and long-term goals.
  • Ensuring that you stay updated on the latest nutritional diets and trends.
  • Teaching the public and other health specialists about nutrition through articles and group seminars.

Qualifications:

  • Provides nutritional care for patients in the kidney and small bowel transplant programs, inpatient, and outpatient capacity.
  • Completion of an ACEND accredited program in dietetics, registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (RD credential),
  • New York State certification as a Certified Dietitian Nutritionist (CDN).
  • At least 1 year of acute care experience of transplant patients.

Shift: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
