Pay Rate:
Local Pay - $ 57 / h r on w2 & 2280/ Week on w2.
Travel Pay - $ 64 / hr on w2 & 2560/ Week on w2.
REQUISITE & PREFERRED SKILLS:
Experience in a healthcare setting; knowledge of community agencies and resources
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Meeting with clients and identifying their dietary needs by assessing their health, exercise routine, and food habits.
- Developing and helping implement personalized nutrition plans for clients.
- Offering advice on how to stay healthy and providing support to help clients with their progress.
- Overseeing the consultation calendar to ensure efficiency.
- Simplifying important information for clients and explaining the benefits of staying on a healthy diet.
- Helping establish short and long-term goals.
- Ensuring that you stay updated on the latest nutritional diets and trends.
- Teaching the public and other health specialists about nutrition through articles and group seminars.
Qualifications:
- Provides nutritional care for patients in the kidney and small bowel transplant programs, inpatient, and outpatient capacity.
- Completion of an ACEND accredited program in dietetics, registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (RD credential),
- New York State certification as a Certified Dietitian Nutritionist (CDN).
- At least 1 year of acute care experience of transplant patients.
