Compounding Technician, Perfumery

Duration: 6 Months

· Small scale Perfumery General Compounding support for both local and global formulae

· Prepare fragrance compounds by precisely weighing accurate formulae ingredients using automated system

· Ensuring all ingredients are quality and within expiration date

· Perform other lab and project tasks as directed by the Lab Supervisors

· Maintain an organized collection of Raw Materials

· Be able to help out with overflow work when volumes increase

· Maintain a clean and well organized laboratory/work place

· Identify inefficiencies and propose viable solutions following Lean Management principles and guidelines

· Assure compliance of HS&E procedures and proactively contribute to the improvement of lab safety

· Wear appropriate PPE (gloves, goggles, lab coat, closed toed shoes) and follow safety protocols

· Independent and efficient use of all internal tools for data collection/recording and administration.

· Maintain awareness of technology and issues affecting own job.

· Contribute to team success – Actively participates as a member of a team to move the team toward the completion of goals

Key Interactions:

· Lab Manager, Technicians, Perfumers, Fragrance Development Managers, Project Managers and Application labs including awareness of other projects within lab.

Education:

· High School diploma or equivalent experience in a production or manufacturing environment.

Previous Experience:

· 0-5 years in a laboratory/compounding environment

Competencies:

· Must be able to stand for long periods of time

· Ability to lift 20lbs

· Flexibility to work overtime (where needed)

· Detail & Service orientated to meet deadlines
