Controller

Duration: 12 Months

Oversee accounting & reporting operations to ensure relevant, complete, accurate and timelyclosings and Financial and Management reporting in compliance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles or International Financial Reporting Standards.

• Primary liaison between SAP financial project and the running business, helping to establish ongoing leadership in leading and delivering  financial transformational change, secure organizational readiness and anticipate/adapt the daily processes in a constantly changing retail environment.
• Ensure appropriate variance analysis, reviewing and challenging reported actuals and forecasts and first level of commentary.
• Secure effective governance and supervise solid support for country management with insight in financial performance & position, liquidity, investment decisions and financial planning.
• Assist in Managing the relationship with the external auditor and enable an efficient and effective external audit process.
• Secure close cooperation with Legal and Tax teams to ensure compliance with legal and tax requirements.
• Accountable for securing, setting up and maintaining the financial structures to follow-up cost and performance and support decision making in line with global frameworks.

Competencies:

• Demonstrated proficiency in ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections.
•  Proven project management capabilities with the ability to plan, initiate, monitor and implement
• projects within a team. Experience with SAP financial system implementations and upgrades preferred.
• Excellent verbal, and written communication skills with ability to communicate complex financial issues in clear terms to non-financial personnel.
• Strong background in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), internal controls, compliance (SOX, PCI, tax, etc.), treasury, and financial systems.

Experience

• 15+ years of progressive financial experience and 7+ years in a Sr. Finance Position, with demonstrated ability to collaborate with senior management.
• Has led general accounting as a controller or assistant controller.
• 10+ years progressive experience leading financial teams of at least $500M in sales, retail strongly preferred.
