  • Data Analysts drive how the UX Research function is powered by empowering Research leaders to integrate business data into their daily decisions as well as longer-term investments.
  • The Data Analyst role in the Research Operations Insights team will work alongside UX Researchers, Research Program Managers, and Research leaders to identify, track, and solve issues that advance the efficiency and efficacy of UX Research ecosystem.
  • This role will perform analyses on a broad spectrum of topics related to optimizing UX Research process and UX Research organizational health.
  • Some projects will focus on improving how we measure and monitor the performance of the infrastructure and programs we build to support the research organization.
  • Others will involve investigating existing data to identify potential issues and to inform opportunities for solving them.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong consultative, communication, analytical, data/dashboard building, and storytelling skills and will thrive managing concurrent projects while working with a cross-functional team to drive outcomes.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Connect global data and strategies to functional data in order to create team-specific analytics and reporting.
  • Support Research Operations teams in translating their goals for the business into reliable metrics; work with program leaders to identify the best KPIs for their respective teams. This may involve mapping existing data to program goals or advocating for the building of new data channels.
  • Act as an internal consultant by understanding business needs, scoping data requests, synthesizing insights, and recommending solutions to managers in collaboration with relevant cross-functional teams.
  • Apply expertise in quantitative analysis and the presentation of data to see beyond the numbers and create actionable recommendations.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects that require inputs from cross-functional stakeholders while balancing impact on business needs.
  • Deliver analytical results to technical and non-technical audiences and partner with them to identify the right actions.
  • Leverage tools, such as SQL, Tableau, Salesforce and Excel to build and drive analytics and to enable client self-service on routine queries, as well as to design/run/deliver ongoing reporting and dashboards.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using R or Python or a similar scripting language for statistical modeling
  • Experience with ETL frameworks, leveraging third party APIs and creating data pipelines to consolidate information across several sources.
  • Experience working with business data to improve understanding of an organization or its operations.
  • Experience with UX Research.
  • Experience working autonomously in a fast-paced, demanding environment, under pressure.

Top 3 must-have HARD skills:

  • Intermediate Salesforce CRM Analytics experience is a must.
  • Advanced Tableau and SQL are also a must (but probably much easier to find).
  • Ability to consult and analytic experience

Good to have skills:

  • Python, experience building and/or maintaining data pipelines

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BA/BS with 5+ years (or MBA/MA/MS with 4+ years) of consulting, data analytics, or corporate work experience focused on using data to uncover insights that drive action and communicating analyses to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience in at least one of these fields: management consulting, data analytics, sales operations, finance, human resources.
  • Advanced experience in SQL or other programming languages.
  • Experience building dashboards in Tableau and knowledge of data visualization best practices.
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM Analytics dashboards and reporting.
  • Experience gathering and interpreting data.
  • Experience influencing stakeholders using data.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis (e.g., descriptive statistics and knowledge of statistical significance).
  • Project management experience with multiple stakeholders prioritizing and delegating projects/tasks.
