Data Architect

Duration:   12 Months

• Senior level Data Architect will support the CDAO VS team lead(s) in the detailed design work that is taking place in support of LM business transformation.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to:  Support data architecture decomposition assessments and design decisions for the Lockheed Martin business transformation program, focusing on value streams/processes related to production operations, and inventory mgmt.
• Define and drive enterprise-level data architecture standards to support business process and system transformations in areas such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).
• Subject matter expertise in SAP S/4HANA with a concentrated focus on modules connected to the supported value stream(s)
• Define and develop enterprise-wide data domains, enable data domain stewards, and consult across the enterprise on federated data architecture solutions.  
• Apply systems engineering and systems architecture disciplines to data strategy implementation and operations.   
• Support data strategy implementation activities such as data governance, data management, metadata management, data security, data quality, and data interoperability.
• Support the documentation and delivery of data artifacts, needs, and requirements.
• Responsible for identifying data requirements that match and those that might require/trigger customization of Out of the Box data structures and document requirements in the selected toolsets.
• Be able to lead and facilitate data discussions. 
• Develop logical and physical data models.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications

• Proven data architect experience across the business processes related to the Issue to Complete Value Stream – processes such as: the build of the products and services, including production scheduling, manufacturing execution, quality management, traceability & genealogy, and delivery of products and services and plan to stock - SIOP, warehouse and inventory strategy/management
• Proven experience with defining and implementing data and information architecture in an SAP S/4HANA environment and with a control tower bolt-on. With a concentrated focus on modules connected to the Issue to Complete VS. Proven experience with the following processes – data flows:
  o Material Resource Planning
  o Warehouse Management (Receiving, Inventory management, Picking, Kitting, and Staging)
  o Deliver Product / Service (Shipping/Export and Transportation)
  o Quality Management
  o Shop Floor Execution
  o Conduct Formal Review and Release
• Experience interfacing with PLM and Mfg systems
  Product, Part, Material, Shop Floor, Control Tower, Logistics, Supplier/Vendor - Master data knowledge
• Proven data architecture experience with ERP digital threads
• Proven experience with systems engineering and systems architecture
• Proven experience harmonizing systems, processes, and/or data across multiple business areas and functions
• Proven experience building data models
• Proven experience with data governance standards and practices

Desired Skills

• Experience with frameworks and standards such as Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF), Open Applications Group Integration Specification (OAGIS), APQC process classification frameworks (PCF), Quality Information Framework (QIF), ISO 10303 / STEP, etc.
• Experience with Cameo Systems Modeler / Systems Modeling Language (SysML)
• Experience with Master Data Management (MDM) techniques and platforms
• Experience with SAP data tools/platforms such as Master Data Governance (MDG), Information Steward, HANA, Data Services, etc.
• Experience with data catalog and business glossary platforms
• Experience developing and utilizing functional ontologies and experience with ontology tools.
• Experience with System of Systems (SoS) architecture
