Data Scientist
Contract: 12 Months+
The role of the Data Scientist CW is to conduct exploratory data analysis from complex and high-dimensional datasets, build pipelines for Data Science models and support in all aspects of the team’s work including modeling, formal experiments and data visualization.
Job Responsibilities:
- Apply knowledge of statistics, machine learning, programming, data modeling, simulation, and advanced mathematics to identify opportunities, pose business questions, and support the team in modeling and analyses.
- Use a flexible, analytical approach to design, develop, and evaluate predictive models and advanced algorithms that lead to optimal value extraction from the data.
- Generate and test hypotheses and analyze and interpret the results of product experiments.
- Provide Business Intelligence (BI) and data visualization support, which includes, but limited to support for business facing dashboards and other ad-hoc requests requiring data analysis and visual support.
- Manipulate large datasets, across a complex database to derive insights and implement change
- Use statistical knowledge to interpret the data and drive decisions

Must-Haves:
- Advanced/pro experience in SQL
- Experienced in programming languages such as Python and/or R
- Ability to work independently and write high quality production ready code
Good-to-Haves:
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing, including conveying complex information and promoting in-depth engagement on course topics
- Experience working with large datasets
- Experienced in data visualization tools such as Tableau
- Prefers 5 years of experience or less if they have previous Meta experience
Skills Required:
- Advanced/pro experience in SQL
- Experienced in either programming languages such as Python and/or R, or data visualization tools such as Tableau.
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing, including conveying complex information and promoting in-depth engagement on course topics.
- Experience working with large datasets
- Ability to work independently and write high quality production ready code
Education/Experience:
- Master of Science degree in computer science or in a relevant field
