Database – PL/SQL developer
Job Description:
- Need to be very strong on Oracle architecture/development.
- Extensive knowledge in writing simple to complex SQL queries.
- Exp. in writing procedural languages in Oracle or SQL Server or other databases.
- SQL/Server environment T-SQL.
- Oracle internal/Catalog views understanding.
- Dynamic SQL usage.
- Any Reporting tool familiarity would be handy.
- Working knowledge on Data Warehouse concepts.
- Exp. in Design, develop, test and support from SQL stored procedures, views.
- Exp. in executing unit and system test scripts, analyzing, capturing, and publishing test results.
- Informatica (nice to have).
- Unix shell scripting expertise (very helpful).
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with business units to define requirements, building analytical datasets, perform analyses, and deliver analytical solutions that meet specific business specifications.
- Gathers critical information from meetings with various stakeholders to produce useful reporting working closely with department heads, technicians, and managerial staff.
- Provides thoughtful analysis to enhance reporting functionality and automation of processes. Provides guidance and direction to less experienced data analysts on data analysis and maintenance of data infrastructure.
- Designs, codes, or configures, tests, debugs, deploys, documents, and maintains large and/or complex programs, using a variety of software development toolkits, programming languages (PL/SQL specific), testing/verifying applications, while adhering to specific development best practices and quality standards.
- Create databases, tables, and other tools to store company data. Develop functions within databases to promote convenience and ease of use.
