Database – PL/SQL developer

Job Description:

• Need to be very strong on Oracle architecture/development.
• Extensive knowledge in writing simple to complex SQL queries.
• Exp. in writing procedural languages in Oracle or SQL Server or other databases.
• SQL/Server environment T-SQL.
• Oracle internal/Catalog views understanding.
• Dynamic SQL usage.
• Any Reporting tool familiarity would be handy.
• Working knowledge on Data Warehouse concepts.
• Exp. in Design, develop, test and support from SQL stored procedures, views.
• Exp. in executing unit and system test scripts, analyzing, capturing, and publishing test results.
• Informatica (nice to have).
• Unix shell scripting expertise (very helpful).

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Collaborates with business units to define requirements, building analytical datasets, perform analyses, and deliver analytical solutions that meet specific business specifications.
• Gathers critical information from meetings with various stakeholders to produce useful reporting working closely with department heads, technicians, and managerial staff.
• Provides thoughtful analysis to enhance reporting functionality and automation of processes. Provides guidance and direction to less experienced data analysts on data analysis and maintenance of data infrastructure.
• Designs, codes, or configures, tests, debugs, deploys, documents, and maintains large and/or complex programs, using a variety of software development toolkits, programming languages (PL/SQL specific), testing/verifying applications, while adhering to specific development best practices and quality standards.
• Create databases, tables, and other tools to store company data. Develop functions within databases to promote convenience and ease of use.
