Display Optical Performance Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Display Optical Performance Engineer to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to validate display optical performance using established methodologies, maintain the functionality of the display lab, and design reliable measurement stations for accurate testing. The ideal candidate should possess a combination of technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and hands-on experience to ensure the quality and performance of our display technologies.
Job Responsibilities:
- Analyze measurement results to assess display optical performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand display requirements and implement appropriate testing processes.
- Assemble and modify equipment to suit specific testing needs, ensuring accurate and consistent results.
- Develop, test, and refine measurement processes, incorporating software automation to enhance efficiency.
- Design and construct fixtures and equipment to streamline testing procedures and enhance measurement accuracy.
- Troubleshoot equipment, jigs, or fixture issues to minimize downtime and maintain smooth operations.
- Plan and execute laboratory layout and organization for optimal functionality and safety.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks in the lab to ensure all equipment is in working condition.
- Monitor equipment functionality, identifying deviations from specifications and implementing necessary adjustments.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to provide insights for product improvement based on measurement data.
- Program and automate display test equipment for efficient and accurate testing procedures.
- Utilize display optical metrology techniques to validate and improve display performance.
- Employ Microsoft Excel for data collection, report generation, and in-depth analysis.
- Develop Excel macros to automate data processing tasks and streamline reporting.
- Plan and execute comprehensive tests and validations of display panels, ensuring adherence to industry standards.
- Collect and extract test data into workbooks, maintaining accurate and organized records.
- Automate test equipment operations to enhance testing efficiency and accuracy.

- Previous experience in developing customized test stations is advantageous.
- Effective teamwork and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field is required.
- Previous experience in display technology, optical performance assessment, or related areas is a plus.
