Financial Analyst II
Duration: 06 Months
- Working hours: 8 am - 5 pm ET (must be available to support team members on different timezones / CST, PST, EST) Worker will stick to a 40 hr work week.
- Must be local to the site, will eventually be on hybrid schedule after training is completed.
- Potential to convert to full-time after 6 months.
There would be travel in the beginning to Holland, Michigan for training with another one of our Sr. Project Controllers. - Other than that, travel would be pretty limited, perhaps to a job site or another one of our office locations.
Interview: 3-step interview process (virtually)
Provides analytical support in order to deliver financial results. They work with internal employees and external vendors to resolve issues and provide ad-hoc financial analysis. - They prepare cost reports including forecasts, outlooks and assist with allocation of funds for projects based on approved budgets and monitors project accounting.
- They validate invoices expenditures and change requests impacting budgets.
- They identify and implement improvements to cost management processes for greater efficiency and effectiveness.
- Financial analyst to support project budgeting and forecasting metrics reporting and TE analysis.
- Analyzes financial status by collecting monitoring and studying data recommending actions.
- Determines cost of operations by establishing standard costs collecting operational data.
- Identifies financial status by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
- Guides cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures providing trends and forecasts explaining processes and techniques recommending actions.
- Improves financial status by analyzing results monitoring variances identifying trends recommending actions to management.
- Reconciles transactions by comparing and correcting data.
- Maintains database by entering verifying and backing up data.
- Recommends actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses studying proposed changes in methods and materials.
- Increases productivity by developing automated accounting applications coordinating information requirements. Protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.
- Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops reviewing publications.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Qualifications:
- Corporate Finance, quality management, problem solving, process improvement, statistical analysis, financial skills. Must have 3-5 years related experience
Education:
- 4 year degree is required in accounting or finance
- Software: SAP experience preferred, must have proficient excel skills
- Must have experience in project controlling and working with project managers
- Must be independent thinkers, problem solve, great communicators, must be able to multiple task, meet deadline a must
