Graphic Specialist

Duration: 12 Months+

Pay Rate: $26/Hr. On W2

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in design, or other related studies is preferred for the production artist position.
  • 3-5 years of professional experience
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to multi-task
  • Willingness to take photos at on-site company events with company provided iPhone.
  • Strong attention to detail.

Must Have:

  • Print and digital design experience.
  • Proficient in visual language.
  • An online portfolio demonstrating clear knowledge of graphic design, print production, and digital applications.
  • Ability to translate creative concepts into executable projects.
  • Proficiency in all Mac-based, industry-standard software programs including, but not limited to: Adobe Creative Cloud – InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator, Microsoft Office, and Acrobat
  • Knowledge of the Windows platform.
  • Comfortable using cloud-based software (Dropbox, OneDrive).
  • General understanding of project management tool (Trello)
  • Photo editing and retouching skills; including editing metadata and batch processing images.
  • Knowledge of creating and working with templates and style sheets, including page formatting of copy, placing photos and artwork, as well as producing multiple versions.
  • Knowledge of all steps required for the print process and an understanding of production methods to ensure designs can be produced for print delivery.
  • General advertising, marketing and media terminology and processes.

Responsibilities:

The production artist will work under the supervision of the art director and their primary responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating closely with the art director.
  • Follow a development timeline to ensure tasks are completed on time.
  • Comfortable executing brand standards.
  • Proficient in visual language.
  • Goal oriented, keen eye for detail, skilled at executing creative solutions.
  • Can produce content on tight timelines.
  • Stay up to date with current graphic design trends, techniques, and software.
  • Prepare and package press-ready files based on supplied specifications for several types of printing.
  • Prepare and package final files based on supplied specifications for several types of digital applications.
  • Make various formats of supplied artwork production-ready and resolve any artwork issues that arise during production.
  • Maintain production files, including fonts, images, logos, and another artwork.
  • Makes corrections and modifications to client proof as requested.
  • Processing photography; including cropping, retouching, editing metadata and uploading to an image portal.
  • Comfortable taking photos with an iPhone (company supplied) for social media.
  • Image sourcing: locate stock or original photography, understand copyright laws; understand resolution options and optimal enlargement sizes.

Additional Info: 40 hours per week Hybrid schedule (likely 4 days in office)
