Hardware Engineer IV
Duration: 12 Months
Pay Rate:100-105/Hr. on W2
Request Highlights:
- This is the validation team supporting VR (wearables), validate design, quality, find/prevent bugs.
- Performance will be measured by daily deliverables, quality, and timeline. Daily tasks will be provided.
- Must have at least 5- 10 years of relevant experience
Job Responsibilities:
- Review and approve plan layout, including creating new designs and modifications of existing designs.
- Review and approve product prototypes, working models or theoretical models constructed with computer simulation.
- Write detailed functional specifications and design flow/tradeoff.
- Support new technology introduction.
- Act as a subject matter expert to engineering staff and consult specifications to evaluate interface between hardware and software and operational and performance requirements of overall system.
- Provide training and support to system designers and users.
- Design and develop hardware and support peripherals, including system-on-chip (SoC), support logic, microprocessors, custom integrated circuits, and system interconnection.
- Direct technicians, engineering designers or other technical support personnel as needed.
- Candidates will be evaluated based on their deliverables in hardware design and prototype builds, as well as documentation and communications with cross-functional teams.
Required Skills:
- Good EE fundamentals.
- High density Rigid/flex board design and system integration experience.
- Hands on lab skills. Rapid prototyping with what's available. Can-do attitude.
- Ability to drive projects with high ambiguity, multiple paths, and fuzzy future to clarity.
- Understanding of core tech areas, such as SoC, sensor, wireless, audio, display, interfaces (USB, MIPI, PCIE, SPI, I2C). Capable of designing, bringing up and evaluating projects from those areas.
- Embedded software basics. Comfortable in looking into software log/code.
- Use automation to help team improve project quality, as well as scale to more projects.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
Must-Have Hard Skills:
- Consumer electronics experience is highly preferred.
