Hardware Technician II

Duration: 12 Months

Please note: This role will be 100% Onsite.

LAPTOP WILL BE PROVIDED

Hybrid: (must be onsite M, W & F), Remote T & F.

Sponsor looking for candidates with experience managing lab, Inventory/shipping management, administrative skills and software / scripting exp.

Responsible for day-to-day Graphics Mfg. Test lab tasks as well as design team support. Works with test engineers and design engineers on numerous tasks that are critical to new product development.

Basic Qualifications and Tasks:

  • Must be flexible and have a can do/willing to learn attitude.
  • Ability to assembly/debug/repair computers & Test fixture equipment
  • Lab management aptitude (Networking, Maintenance, Inventory, Shipping and Safety)
  • Manage Test Equipment BOMs – Experience with Enterprise system such as SAP/Speed/Epicor etc.
  • Basic understanding of programming languages (Java, C++, Python)
  • Understanding of system imaging using ISOs (CloneZilla or other)
  • Can work with design team to collect requirements of PCB components per platform and/or board designs.
  • Is able to assist with creation of repository of electronic and mechanical parts documentation for BOM management.
  • Is capable of streamlining BOM processes through automation including tracking of obsolete parts, lead-time and change notices.
  • Under Design Engineer guidance can prepare specifications, evaluate vendors, and analyze test reports to ensure components conform to required standards and specifications.

Experience that is a plus:

  • Test frameworks such as TestStand or LabVIEW
  • Operation of Oscilloscopes, power supplies and other debug equipment
  • Capability to perform PCB rework and debug.

Education:

  • Associate's degree is preferred but not required.
