HR Admin II-TA Specialist

Duration: 6+ Months (40hrs/weeks)

The company is currently seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to support our critical staffing needs in all of our businesses. This role will report to a Talent Acquisition Manager based out of the Houston or Reston offices but will allow for flexible telework as needed. This role will screen and present candidates across multiple business functions including Engineering, Construction, Semiconductor and Project Support. You will be responsible for building candidate rapport and developing trusted relationships with the hiring managers to deliver top talent to Bechtel.

Position Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Achieves staffing objectives by recruiting and evaluating job candidates; advising managers; and managing relocations.
  • Establishes recruiting requirements by studying organization plans and objectives and meeting with managers to discuss needs.
  • Builds applicant sources by researching and contacting community services, colleges, employment agencies, recruiters, media, and internet sites; providing organization information, opportunities, and benefits; making presentations; and maintaining rapport.
  • Attracts applicants by placing job advertisements, contacting recruiters, and using newsgroups and job sites.
  • Determines applicant qualifications by interviewing applicants, analyzing responses, verifying references, and comparing qualifications to job requirements.
  • Promotes Bechtel as an employer of choice in social and recruitment channels.

Basic Requirements:

  • BS/BA or 3+ years of experience in Talent Recruitment
  • Prior experience using passive recruiting techniques.
  • Knowledge of recruitment best practices.
  • Knowledge of various applicant tracking systems and technology.
  • Proven record of high personal initiative.
  • Strategic thinker that is also able to delve into the detail to deliver.
  • Ability to professionally interface with all levels of the organization and influence without authority.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and use good judgment in setting and delivering individual priorities.
  • Ability to function effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Able to identify key external trends and benchmarks and translate those into business action.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Prior experience developing talent acquisition strategies in EPC, Nuclear or Manufacturing & Technology.
  • Proven experience in the ability to understand wide-ranging, out-of-the-ordinary, talent acquisition practices.
  • Experience working with novel projects and proven ability to understand global staffing process on Construction projects.
  • DE&I experience in developing strategies and passive recruitment.
