Manufacturing Engineer II

Duration: 12 Months (Possible Extension)

Desired skills:

  • Familiarity with low level electronic measurements and equipment for radiation detection
  • Experience with IPC J-STD-001 & IPC-A-610 a plus
  • SAP experience a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
  • 8 years minimum experience Manufacturing, Process, Quality, Test or Technology roles

Role Summary:

  • As a Lead Electrical Manufacturing Engineer, you will develop and implement new and improved methods for manufacturing, assembly, and testing of harsh environment sensors used in nuclear reactors, radiation monitoring, oil & gas exploration, and natural gas turbines.
  • Your responsibilities will span from supporting daily production needs to larger projects that make a positive impact on quality, customer satisfaction, and on the team in Twinsburg, Ohio.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • As a Lead Electrical Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for:
  • Driving improvements to process capability and yield, technical manufacturing documentation, and subsequent training
  • Lead new equipment / upgrades from justification through installation
  • Owning documentation packages that drive effective and efficient manufacturing processes which includes routers, travelers, and controlled manufacturing documents
  • Contributing to NPI (New Product Introduction) programs throughout concept, prototype, pilot, validation, and manufacturing implementation stage gates
  • Support Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) projects

Required Qualifications:

  • Have a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an accredited university
  • Have 8 years minimum experience Manufacturing, Process, Quality, Test or Technology roles

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in problem solving and failure analysis of both electrical and mechanical aspects of products and processes
  • Strong service orientation to the production floor and customers alike: builds relationships at all levels, strong presence on the shop floor; proactive communication
  • Proven abilities as a self-starter and with leading others
  • Demonstrable successes in a high quality and regulatory environment
  • Ability to coordinate several projects concurrently
  • Familiarity with low level electronic measurements and equipment for radiation detection
  • Experience with IPC J-STD-001 & IPC-A-610 a plus
  • SAP experience a plus
