Manufacturing Engineer

Duration: 12 Months

Basic Qualifications       

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Eng, Manufacturing Eng, or other Engineering discipline from an accredited college
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role leading/supporting small to large project teams
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
  • Excellent written and oral communication/interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative environment or independently to solve problems in a timely manner
  • Demonstrated ability to read & interpret drawing requirements to develop work instructions
  • Familiarity with lean/six-sigma/DMAIC manufacturing methods and techniques
  • Demonstrated ability to track and manage cost, quality, and schedule in a manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, coordinate, and set up production work cells and facility layout changes
  • Demonstrated ability to define problems, collect/analyze data & make improvements to achieve desired performance

Desired Skills:  

  • Previous work experience performing Manufacturing and/or Industrial Engineering tasks proficiently
  • Strong root cause and corrective action analysis skills for resolving issues
  • Green Belt or Black Belt trained/certifications in lean/six-sigma to drive continuous improvement
  • Certifications or knowledge of IPC-610, IPC-620, J-STD-001
  • Electro-mechanical, cable & harness assembly/fabrication experience
  • Tooling & fixture design including 2D/3D modeling/printing using programs such as Auto-CAD and CREO
  • Use of configuration management tools and MRP/ERP production systems (i.e. SAP, Windchill, etc.)
  • Use of simulation modeling to analyze and improve production process flow
  • Ability to learn and program a variety of production support equipment
  • Master’s degree in engineering related discipline from an accredited college

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Support production floor mainly, answering questions, digging into problems that arise.
  • Modify instructions.
  • Enter routing into SAP system, order tools, fixturing.
  • Possible design functions.
  • Ability to run data, analyze data, provide solutions.
  • Previous Manufacturing experience a must, excellent communication skills.
  • Work Schedule: 4x10 first shift 6:30am-5pm.
