Manufacturing Engineer Level 2

Duration:  12 Months

Designs manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining and material handling. May incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan. Inspects performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality. Develops manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control, and may develop those techniques. Provides guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques. Ensures processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.

Trains technicians on assembly process.

Investigates root cause and corrective action for defective hardware. Creates rework instructions for hardware.

Skill/Experience/Education

Mandatory

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or aerospace engineering or related discipline from an accredited college. This facility requires special access and therefore all candidates must be a US Citizen.

Minimum 2 years of professional experience.

Desired

Experienced with SAP Experienced with Microsoft, Office (PowerPoint, Access, Word, Excel). Knowledge of electro-mechanical assembly, industrial processes, technical writing, and teaming. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of Lean manufacturing concepts and techniques, Pro-E, or equivalent CAD software, tool design, electronic, packaging design, and MRS, concepts Leadership experience .
