Manufacturing Test Support

Duration: 1 Year.

Purpose:
Perform engineering change orders, analysis, design, programming, debugging, hardware integration and verification. It requires system architectural development, basic HW/SW design and analysis, coding, schematic development, and basic troubleshooting of functional test systems. The systems will include analog/digital electronics testing, basic system control, electric motor control testing and vision testing for displays.

This position requires technical judgment and independent thinking to develop recommendations within established guidelines; work and decisions are reviewed by supervisor before implementation. This individual is required to operate in a team environment, providing input to design solutions and participating in design reviews.
Duties:
1. Provide support and basic troubleshooting of existing manufacturing test systems. Investigate, gather and analyze data with assistance from others. Review and provide proper feedback about the systems.
2. Review innovative HW/SW testing architectures with support from supervisor and implement cost reduction, quality, safety, ergonomic, productivity and efficiency improvement ideas of limited scope. Support lean manufacturing through the Production System.
3. Perform analysis and make recommendations and design decisions based on results with assistance from others. Review the design calculations of others to ensure proper application of design techniques, expected values and tolerances.
4. Implement code with basic usage of Labview development practices and tools. Solve most tool suite set up problems. Solve integration issues that involve multiple code modules, code bases, and/or multiple developers. Critically review others’ code.
5. Perform basic unit, integration, and systems verification and validation testing using HW/SW tools. Review others testing strategies and suggest additional test cases.
6. Employ basic troubleshooting strategies; determine root cause with support from others and provide support in troubleshooting.
7. Review documentation produced during the Tester Development Lifecycle .. Generate and update support documents as needed
8. Work closely with other project team members as needed to ensure the final combined product has compatible software, electronic hardware, and mechanical hardware which functions properly together and performs at levels specified in the test requirement or specifications.
9. Installing and testing prototypes and troubleshooting and correcting improper operation of products designed.
