Mechanical Design Engineer V

Contract: 12 Months+

Job Duties:

• Design, manufacture, and assemble prototypes of soft wearable electronic devices.
• Apply sound engineering and design principles for manufacturing of novel sensor integrations in wearable electronics.
• Communicate with vendors on DFM and Manufacturing of designs for prototype builds.
• Collaborate with researchers and engineers to rapidly prototype hardware solutions, iterate, and run experiments.

Must-Haves / Required Skills:

• BS in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in building hardware prototypes, preferably in wearable consumer electronics, or a similar field.
• Experience with Siemens NX/Unigraphics CAD modeling.
• Experience with FPC/PCB design.
• Experience with Design for injection molding and 3D printing.

Nice to Haves:

• Knowledge of Camera integration/Optics.
• Experience in wearable consumer electronics.
• Hands-on prototyping with molding and casting of elastomers or industrial processes such as Liquid Injection Molding.
• Experience collaborating and communicating effectively on multi-disciplinary teams.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
