JOB DESCIPTION:

High-profile SoC Platform Engineering team is seeking a hardworking system-engineering lab technician to help test the latest SoC products and contribute to issue identification, replication, and problem resolution. This role will be pivotal in bringing next generation SoC based products into Data Center products.

In this position, you will be working with a small but highly experienced team that led the silicon verification of multi-generation SoCs. You will be a part of a fast paced, high-performing team. Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain testing systems, which includes replacing PC components, diagnosing hardware issues, and assembling new systems to include in the debug farm
  • Assemble and configure reference & validation platforms
  • Assemble, maintain and debug Validation systems in the lab – motherboards, voltage regulator modules, storage devices (SATA, USB, PCIE etc.)Load operating system, flash FW, and BIOS images both in circuit and throughout of band fixtures
  • Help execute core-level test plans, using test automation and coverage tools to model and track results
  • Reproduction, troubleshooting, and triaging of defectsIsolate issues by running experiments across the debug farm and collecting data
  • Prioritize and efficiently manage several concurrent projects and testing tasks

 

Preferred Skills and Attributes:

  • Hands-on experience with assembling, set-up, and configuration of PC components
  • Experienced use of tools such as Jtag debuggers, logic analyzers, SATA, USB, and PCIe bus analyzers
  • Good troubleshooting skills to isolate component issues from software issues and use errors
  • Understanding of Linux and Windows Operating Systems
  • Experience and understanding of PC Platform Architecture
  • HW and SW QA process and methodology Scripting languages such as Bash, Ruby, Python, and Perl
  • Detail oriented, with a drive to learn quickly in a dynamic environment
  • Communication skills: good oral, written and presentation skills

 

Academic Credentials:

  • Technical College Degree with possible specialization in Hardware and Software Quality Assurance preferred
