Optical Engineer V

Duration:  12 Months

Payrange:   $90-110/HR

  • Design, build and test optical sensing systems that may include active illumination (LEDs, lasers, structured light), cameras (CMOS, CCDs, thermal, SPAD, etc.), and passive optical components (lenses, polarizers, spectral filters, etc).
  • Develop optical models of our sensor systems to guide requirement definition with simulations.
  • Build quick prototypes to enable our team’s path-finding research.
  • Work with cross-functional engineering and research partners to mature prototypes to increasing levels of fidelity, ranging from proof-of-concept bench-top demonstrations to wearable integrated systems.
  • Work with cross-functional research partners to understand their goals and define system requirements.
