Payroll Administrator

Computes and records earnings from timesheets and work tickets, subtracting deductions, such as income-tax withholdings, social security payments, union dues, insurance, credit union payments and bond purchases.
Responsible for the entire Accounting Cycle (A/P, A/R, Payroll, Bank Rec’s, Month End Close).
Experience:
- Computes wages and posts wage data to payroll records.
- Computes and records earnings from timesheets and work tickets, subtracting deductions, such as income-tax withholdings, social security payments, union dues, insurance, credit union payments and bond purchases.
- Enters net wages on earnings record card, check, check, check-stub, and payroll sheet.
- May prepare periodic reports of earnings and income tax deductions.
- May keep records of sick leave pay and non-taxable wages.
- May prepare and distribute pay envelopes.
- May keep records of goods produced by individual workers, units, or departments.
- May prepare time records.
- May compute wages for employees working on bonus, commission, or piecework systems.
- Compiles payroll data.
- Enters data or computes and posts wages and reconciles errors to maintain payroll records.
- May prepare and issue pay checks.
- Uses computer or automated payroll system such as payroll software or payroll service bureaus.
- Has ability to work in a confidential business environment.
- Responsible for the entire Accounting Cycle (A/P, A/R, Payroll, Bank Rec’s, Month End Close).
- Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual adjustments of journal entries.
- In charge of supporting schedules for General Ledger Accounts and performs Bank Reconciliations.
- Prepares monthly and year-end Financial Statements with limited supervision.
