Principal Scientist/ Bioinformatics

We are seeking a Bioinformatics Analyst to assist in GWAS and post-GWAS pipeline analysis. The role involves processing genetic data, performing GWAS and PheWAS, and collaborating with the team to integrate genetic evidence with other workstreams.
Scope :

• Curate, format, and ingest GWAS and QTL summary statistics in post-GWAS pipelines
• Define custom disease and control cohorts using EHR data.
• Perform genome-wide association studies (GWAS) to identify variants associated with disease risk, endotypes, age of onset, time-to-event, or other quantitative traits
• Perform PheWAS using internal databases and R scripts.
• Coordinate with the project team to integrate genetic evidence with other evidence workstreams

Skills :

• Experience with quality control, processing, and analysis of human genetic
• Knowledge of GWAS analysis (Plink, REGINIE, GATE) and PheWAS.
• Good R programming skills
• HPC and cloud computing environments (AWS, GCP)
• Knowledge of PheWAS.
• Minimum PHD

Top Must-Have Skills:

• GWAS (Genome-Wide Association Studies) experience
• Minimum of 3 Years of related experience •
• Must have Human Genetics and Genetic Data Analytics Experience
• R Programming Experience • Ph.D.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Previous experience within Pharmaceutical Industry

• Experience with Epigenetics

• Strong Communication Skills
