Principal Solutions Architect

The Enterprise Architecture Group in the CTO Organization is looking for an Oracle Cloud Solution Architect to help in the execution of a large finance transformation initiative moving legacy financial platforms and capabilities to Oracle Cloud. Must have the ability to learn quickly, work under minimal direction and take charge of situations. Strong communicator who can simplify complex topics and communicate to all levels of an organization.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Interface with business partners, Mattel IT/GTO as well as vendors to understand the existing landscape, scope and requirements.
- Act as the liaison with business managers, business users and IT execution team.
- Support the definition of use cases, scenarios etc. and their corresponding design.
- Develops and implements policies, procedures, and architectural principals to ensure that systems support the organization's business requirements and meet the needs of end users.
- Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Assist with the development of test plans to check infrastructure and systems technical development, and where possible, makes recommendations for improvement.
- Assists in the identification, analysis, and resolution of technology infrastructure problems.
- Lead design sessions in prototyping new systems for enhancing business processes, operations, and information process flow.
- Recommends improvements to processes and technology that improve the effectiveness of the team.
- Lead Proof of Concept (POC) for feasibility studies
- Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.
- Capable of successfully engaging in multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Strong understanding of integration best practices and excellent relationship skills working with business leaders, stakeholders, infrastructure team and various development teams across the organization.
- Able to work independently with users to define concepts and under direction of project managers.
- Design and oversee implementation of end-to-end integrated solutions.
- Lead/drive interface mapping sessions
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in a computer science/engineering, information technology or other related field plus more than 10 years of related experience; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven record of grasping highly complex problems and turning them into actionable plans to deliver quick time-to-value
- Demonstrated experience in high level systems design, and security architecture design and development.
- Proficient in all modules involved in Order-to-Cash (OM, Advanced Pricing, Shipping, WMS, Inventory, AR, Costing, XLA, GL), Procure-to-Pay (Purchasing, Inventory, WMS, AP, Costing, XLA, GL) or Forecast to Manufacture processes (WIP, Costing, XLA, Inventory) and Financials (FA, CM, GL)
- Technical Expertise on Oracle Cloud financial modules and Oracle Integration Cloud
- Technical Expertise on different tools/programming languages such as PL/SQL, Forms, Reports, Workflow Builder, Java, APEX, REST API
