Principal Solutions Architect

Seeking an Integration Architect, supporting our Brands including American Girl. Our environment is fast-paced, driven, pragmatic, and results-oriented. This role requires a leader who sets high standards for personal performance, moves quickly to assess the current situation, makes recommendations and implements changes to support the business. Exceptional leadership and communications skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally, are key success factors for this role.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Own and drive the strategic vision and the technologies required to ensure industry-leading quality
• Provide subject expertise on design and quality principles, software quality assurance, reliability, DevSecOps
• Architect end-to-end solutions applying appropriate patterns for the use case at hand
• Guide Solutions Architects / Tech Leads to ensure that application and integration architecture aligns with system design guidelines and enterprise architecture standards
• Evaluate new technologies and create proposals for their adoption based on business goals, investments, benefits and risks
• Coach, mentor and guide delivery and operations teams to effectively leverage the technology footprint
• Establish strong working relationships with development managers and IT leadership.
• Hands On technical leadership in all phases of software development

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

   • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field preferred.
• 15+ years of experience in software development, leading teams.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work well with colleagues at all levels of the organization
• Strong grasp of integration patterns and when to use them
• Experience developing applications using Google Cloud Technologies (Firestore, Cloud Functions, Cloud Tasks etc.)
• Deep API-led, Microservice Architecture, Governance and Services Lifecycle Governance experience
• Strong programming/scripting skills (e.g., NodeJS, Python, Bash, etc.)
• Hands on experience in cloud env, Docker, YAML, GIT
• API Gateway Experience (e.g . Gloo, Google API Gateway)
• Demonstrable understanding of transport protocols such as: REST, JSON, JMS, HTTP/HTTPS, SOAP
• Demonstrable experience with Web services, XSD/XML, WSDLs, Messaging Apps (MQ, EMS, JMS, Confluent Kafka) and other SOA based integration standards and technologies
