Project Designer III
Duration: 12 Months
Associate degree in a technical field from an accredited college or university and three years of highly technical design experience sufficient to provide design knowledge of mechanical and electrical system, structure, and construction documentation, design, and controlling standards and regulations. 8+ years of design experience in commercial projects.
Preparation of construction documents in AutoCad, minimum 8+ years’ experience.
Desired Education and Experience
Proficiency in both Instrument and Controls and Electrical design specifically at commercial nuclear power plants. 8+ Years in related field. CADD Desired not required.
Required abilities and skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability for writing in a clear and understandable manner.
Strong problem-solving and leadership skills and understanding of the design process.
Highly organized with superb attention to detail
Creating designs using AutoCAD; create edit and modify detailed 2D and 3D drawings and designs using AutoCAD.
Basic knowledge of the applicable building codes.
Working knowledge of interfacing disciplines including facilities maintenance and operations, regulations and standards controlling design and documentation, task estimating, and scheduling techniques.
Highly developed design ability to provide the foundation from which to direct and control the solution of the most complex design problems.
