Project Scheduler – Nuclear Projects

Duration: 12 Months

Schedule project activities (date, time, sequence) for the Nuclear or Engineering Projects organizations. Perform schedule maintenance between Passport and Primavera scheduling tools. Assist various project managers in developing schedules for on-line, outage projects and life-cycle schedules. The purpose of this position is to deliver a timely, coherent, comprehensive, and accurate set of schedules for assigned projects.

Principal Accountabilities       

• Develop detailed schedule development for assigned projects to ensure Technical Specification and Maintenance Rule compliance and properly manage risk in a manner consistent with station procedures, processes, and goals.

• Assist in the upkeep of lifecycle project schedules

• Maintain schedule integrity.

• Develop and implement scheduling methodology based on industry best practice.

• Support the Biennial refueling outage for project scheduling.

Required Education and Experience   

Bachelor’s degree in a technical field involving Mechanical, Electrical or Nuclear Engineering, or Nuclear Technology and 5 years of nuclear power generation experience in operations, maintenance, engineering or technical project management: OR,

Associate degree in a technical field involving Mechanical, Electrical or Nuclear Engineering, or Nuclear Technology and 7 years of nuclear power generation experience in operations, maintenance, engineering or technical project management: OR,

High school diploma or GED and 9 years of nuclear power generation experience in a journey level craft, qualified watch station, field engineer or Quality Control position within operations, maintenance, engineering, or quality assurance.

Desired Education and Experience     

1. Reactor Operator License

2. Individual must be proficient in work management and outage work processes and procedures.

3. Proficiency with Passport or similar Work Management software programs and interfaces with scheduling systems.

4. Primavera Training Certification (or equivalent), Passport to Primavera scheduling program interface.

5. Working knowledge of report development software (Crystal Reports) and database analysis.

6. PMP certification.

Required abilities and skills   

• Primavera 106 Training Certification (or equivalent), Passport to Primavera scheduling program interface, understanding of Preventative Maintenance (PM) Program, risk management processes and Crystal report writing, or similar SQL based query reports are desired skills.

• Good knowledge of work control processes and procedures, knowledgeable on effects of isolating, testing, and restoring plant systems and equipment.

• Experience with Passport or similar Work Management software programs and interfaces with scheduling systems.

Desired abilities and skills      

1. Ability to work with teams, disciplines, and other plant organizations to develop integrated plant schedules. Ability to direct resources and establish priorities for schedule activities.

2. Effective communication skills and ability to communicate technical information, concepts, and ideas verbally and in writing.

3. Crystal report writing or similar SQL based query reports.

4. Prefer if the candidate has P6 skills, along with project controls background, asset suite and data glance.
