Quality Lab Technician

Duration: Permanent

Pay Rate: $85k Per Annum

Under limited supervision and in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws/regulations and corporate client procedures and guidelines, the duties and responsibilities for this position are:

  • Train mechanics & operators on internal processes & equipment requirements.
  • GDP (Good Documentation Practices) & ISO (International Organization for Standardization) 9000 and regulatory affairs
  • Ability to specify & qualify Assembly, Tooling, Gage equipment and Fixture equipment.
  • Works under direct supervision and independently to construct & perform experiments, research and test activities related to product quality.
  • Knowledge in Phacoemulsification Console, Calibrated Digital Timer, Calibrated Pressure/Vacuum Meter, Calibrated weight scale, Digital Weld-height measurement equipment, Foot Pedal, Phaco packs, Benchtop power supplies, DMM, Oscilloscope, Crimp tools. solder iron, cameras, drills, medical electronics device, Dual & Single Linear foot pedal etc.
  • Sets up, operates, and maintains electronic laboratory instruments and equipment.
  • Report and follow up on issues, progress and seek help when needed, document progress.
  • Cleans and maintains laboratory equipment, tools, glassware, and lab areas.
  • Maintains laboratory inventory of consumables.

Relevant Experience:

  • 5~10 years of relevant experience in medical device industry (Ophthalmology preferred) along with hands on capability to carry out test of new product launch.

Technical/Functional Skills:

  • Use of medical devices, electrical instruments, environmental chambers, hand tools, operate systems such as: Benchtop power supplies, DMM, Oscilloscope, Crimp tools. solder iron, laptop, cameras, drills.
