Radiologic Technologist - Radiographer
Duration: 3 Months
Pay Rate: $66/hr. on W2.
Schedule Notes:
- Accepting IR training/experience with siemens in lieu of the cert.
- Equipment: GE Allia, Philips Allura Xper FD20, Siemens Artis Q
- Special Needs/Requirements: Bi-plane and Single Plane IR experience.
Summary of Responsibilities:
- Direct patients to exam room; obtains patient history and vitals.
- Pulls x-ray and MRI images via the computer; uploads images brought by patient.
- Instruct and assist patient in assuming physical position for appropriate x-ray test.
- Be able to operate the C-arm and have strong understanding of fluoroscopy for procedures.
- Assists with blood draws and IVs for procedures.
- Assists the physician with procedures as requested; prepares procedure room, sets up sterile field, and preps patient for injection as directed by the physician.
- Assists patients with dressing and transport.
- Prepares equipment/instruments for autoclave.
- Documents information in EMR; prepares patient files for upcoming appointments and documents encounters accordingly.
- Accurately enters billing into EMR.
- Provides excellent customer service to patients, physicians, and other staff.
- Assist with other duties as assigned to meet the need of the clinic.
Minimum Requirements:
- Proof of current AART license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certified or obtained within three (3) months of hire.
- Possess superior knowledge of x-ray procedures and techniques.
- Phlebotomy skills highly desired
- Always maintain confidentiality of patient information, as required by facility policy and HIPAA guidelines.
- Follow all exposure control plans.
