RN - Behavioral Health Adult Emergency

Duration: 3 Months

Pay Rate: $3060/Weekly on W2.

The Psych Registered nurses (RNs) perform basic duties that include treating patients, educating patients about mental and medical conditions, and providing advice and emotional support to patients’ and/or family members, running therapeutic groups, psychiatric crisis intervention, seclusion and restraint of patients. RNs record patients’ medical histories and symptoms, help to perform diagnostic tests and analyze results, operate medical machinery, administer treatment and medications, and help with patient follow-up and rehabilitation.

  • Ability to quickly develop rapport with individuals to perform essential nursing duties and resolve crises as necessary.
  • Ability to assess an individual's potential for dangerousness to self to others and/or grave disability.
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate successfully with hospital staff and external customers.
  • Ability to appropriately and immediately document interactions with patients and potential patients.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of all patient information per HIPAA regulations, federal and state law. and facility policies and procedures.

Job Qualification

  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing. Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
  • Current NY license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse
  • Minimum one to two years’ experience in a hospital setting
