RN Neuro/Trauma ICU

Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: 12 hrs. night shift (19:00-07:30) and 03 days a week.

Pay Rate: $60/hr.

Experience Required: 01-02 Years

Monitor the patient's condition, administer medication, and help educate patients and their families who are dealing with a potential life-altering event.

Trauma nurses need to be able to start IVs, draw blood, place urinary catheters, place patients on cardiac monitoring, set up breathing treatments for patients and hook patients up to monitors. They also need to be able to recognize subtle changes in patient condition and react accordingly.

Qualifications:

  • Associate/ Bachelor with Valid RN License (Multistate/ State Specific)
  • 01 Year Neuro ICU/ ICU/ Trauma Unit

Responsibilities: Required Working as per post

  • Strong technical nursing skills – ability to perform complex and delicate procedures such as inserting a drain at the bedside to relieve intracranial pressure. Ability to focus – neuro ICU nurses must be able to monitor patients closely for subtle changes.
  • Arterial lines, dobhoff tube placement, bronchoscopy, central line, intubation is the most common.
  • Encephalopathy is the most common neurologic complication in the ICU and is usually multifactorial in origin. Sepsis is associated with the highest incidence of neurologic complications. Neurologic complications are associated with increased disability, longer hospital stay, and increased mortality.
