Experience
Summary:
- Guided by the knowledge of the basic principles of nursing based on the biological, physical, and psycho-social sciences assumes responsibility through nursing process.
- Provides and coordinates nursing care of patients within the Radiology Department with the goal of attaining, maintaining, and restoring optimum health.
- Assists with exams, procedures, and treatment.
- Administers medications when ordered. Monitors condition and status of patient before, during, and after procedures.
- Provides patient education and acts as liaison for patients and their families using the Interdisciplinary Care Model.
Minimum Qualifications:
Formal Education Required: -Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing or a school accepted for candidacy status from an accrediting body.
Current licensure to practice nursing in the State of Ohio -BLS certified -ACLS certification .
Experience & Training:
- Two (2) years relevant clinical experience for the following relevant areas: nuclear medicine-critical care nursing, radiation therapy-oncology, Special procedures-surgical, ER, ICU, CCU, Cath Lab, SCVICU, or other applicable experience preferred -Competent in administration of moderate to conscious sedation preferred.

Unit Description: 4 days per week. Weekdays only. Will cover a weekend call for nuclear medicine Saturday/Sunday 6-hour call coverage each day but only work on Saturdays for 3-4 hours. Rotation is about every 6-8 weekends. Procedures include biopsies, drain placements, thoracentesis, paracentesis, and stress tests. ACLS. BLS
