S2P Process Lead / Process Improvement Lead I

Description:

The Source-to-Pay (S2P) Process Lead is responsible for process enhancements within the S2P process, including but not limited to the identification of issues/gaps, potential solutions and implementation. Through the utilization of internal and external best practices, in close collaboration with key stakeholders and relevant functions and with a clear understanding of Global Procurement objectives, the S2P Process Lead will drive innovation and efficiencies to optimize the organization’s effectiveness in operational excellence. He/She will apply project management skills to achieve measurable results in driving “best in class” performance and strong interpersonal and communication skills to influence and drive change management.

General Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end implementation of S2P processes and solutions which provide improvements to GP effectiveness and efficiency including design, rollout plan, success measures definitions, implementation, change management, documentation and communication

• Identify and lead initiatives within S2P process considering cross-category, cross-geographic and cross-organizational landscape as well as ensure fulfillment of mission and goals

• Oversee and enhance S2P processes including strong collaboration with key stakeholders to identify improvement areas and gaps, simplify activities and drive harmonized implementation across Global Procurement in areas of category strategy, sourcing strategy and execution, and supplier performance management, as examples

• Drive adherence and utilization of new or improved processes and approaches by acting as a change agent and monitoring compliance

• Ensure relevant GP systems and tools are embedded across the S2P process and drive utilization

• Collaborate with other Global Procurement teams and other functions such as Finance to ensure a seamless linkage across the S2P process

• Develop and manage a comprehensive set of metrics and reporting capabilities that convey the success metrics of key S2P activities

• Actively support or lead ad-hoc initiatives related to S2P or overall Center of Excellence programs

Qualifications/Skills:

• Education Required: Undergraduate degree in Supply Chain/Procurement or equivalent

• Education Preferred: MBA or relevant MS degree

• Experience Required: 5+ years’ experience in Procurement, 3+ years’ experience in Project Management or Consulting; Previous experience in strategic sourcing and/or category management; Experience working for a multi-national corporation

• Experience working in a global environment, leading cross-functional teams, managing multiple simultaneous projects

• Solid understanding of procurement/sourcing concepts, best practices, policies and tools

• MS office skills (e.g., excel and power point)

• Experience in Ariba or other S2C/P2P solutions desirable

• Proven experience working and building relationships with business partners

• Proven leadership capabilities and strategic thinking, strong interpersonal skills including cross-functional teamwork, effective written and oral communication skills, project management skills, strong multi-cultural skills, high energy levels, and a bias towards action

• Ability to translate strategic vision into tactical plans and manage the change required to execute

• Ability to craft and deliver communication, influence audiences, and lead change management both internally and externally

• Ability to constructively challenge to generate open minded thinking

• Ability to lead and influence without authority

• Strong time management and organizational skills but with an ability to be versatile and work through ambiguity
