Sales Director – Data & Analytics

Job Description

Identify and nurture new business opportunities in Data & Analytics services while bringing value to customers.  As a successful technology client relationship manager with proven consultative selling skills you will work with clients, internally across functions and within our ecosystem of partners to create innovative solutions to help our customers achieve their data and analytics strategic priorities. Leveraging our portfolio of solutions and services, working in collaboration with other business development teams in LS or Retail domain you will engage with potential customers to prospect and develop opportunities to grow data operations and analytic services across new and existing clients.

Responsibilities: 

  • Consultative sales of data analysis and insight solutions to executive-level stakeholders at various clients in LS/Retail verticals
  • Build strategic relationships with Data & Analytics leaders of client organizations
  • Collaborate & communicate with segment heads of multiple client accounts internal to the org to understand current offerings and scope expansion on data & analytics offerings
  • Adapt to various clients’ contexts, listen to their challenges, and think about (innovative) Data & Analytics and business insights solutions to solve their business questions
  • Review and prepare proposal presentation decks, traveling to customer locations to present business proposals
  • Build and maintain relationships with technology partners/product vendors
  • Drive engagement and growth in data architecture and LS or Retail domain practice through continuous learning, adopting data architecture process improvements, and industry trends and best practices
  • Actively participate in the overall Data & Analytics governance & offering process

Skill Profile:

  • Excellent communication skills (written& verbal) and organizational skills
  • Highly skilled in business and marketing analytics and insights offerings
  • Proven consultative selling skills, customer focus
  • Strong Data & Analytics architecture/engineering background with program execution and operations experience
  • Apply Design Thinking and problem-solving skills to work with customers to jointly identify and create data analytics and insights solutions
  • Able to unite cross-functional teams, guide strategic discussions and facilitate innovative sales offerings
  • Able to adapt quickly in handling multiple/evolving deals as a result of new and existing engagements and deadlines
  • Ability to think at strategic, tactical and transactional level
  • Experience of BI Tools in conjunction to Data & Analytics
  • 10-15+ years of experience in Data & Analytics

Required domain expertise/capabilities:

  • Domain knowledge and experience working in a similar role in Life-Sciences / Retail company, preferably Sales for Supply Chain, or Manufacturing, or R&D is required.
  • Understanding of domain specific business processes, systems, and data.
