Job Description:

We are seeking an enthusiastic scientist who will be involved in the discovery of novel therapeutics working in Biomarker & Target Engagement Profiling Lab, which is part of Disease Profiling and Functional Genomics Cluster within Precision Medicine and Computational Biology Department. The scientist will contribute to a variety of projects by developing and implementing innovative immunoassay based proteomic methods for identification of biomarkers, disease profiling, and elucidation of drug action mechanisms. In this position, the scientist will also be responsible for evaluation and employment of the emerging cutting-edge proteomic technologies as well as for maintaining operational readiness of the equipment.

 Qualifications:

• BS or MS Degree in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or related disciplines with minimum 2 years of experience in protein biomarker assay development and analysis.

Required Skills
Protein biomarker research - design, validation, and implementation of protein immunoassays:
Meson Scale Discovery, ELISA, bead based Simoa, Simple Western, Isoplexis etc.
? Experience in handling biological materials (tissues, tumors, blood samples, CSF, etc.).
? Cell culture experience preferred
? Lab automation (liquid handling workstations, plate washers).
? Good knowledge of scientific data analysis, graphing, and curve fitting software (Excel, GraphPad Prism, TIBCO Spotfire).
? Strong organizational and analytical skills; attention to detail is critical.
? Ability to write technical reports describing experiments and their outcome.

Must-Have Skills:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in protein biomarker assay development and analysis.
• Immunoassay development (development, applied, and used in task work)
• Mammalian Cell Culture Experience
• BS or MS Degree Minimum of 2 years of professional work experience (non-school experience)
• Ph.D. - Min of 1-2 years’ experience and will consider some years of school experience towards the minimum requirement.

Nice to Have:

• 5 + years of experience
• Experience with Immunoassays: Meso Scale Discovery, bead based Simoa nice to have, Isoplexis etc.
• Lab automation (liquid handling workstations, plate washers).
• Preferred Master’s degree or higher education
