Senior Manager, Marketing and Social Media

Duration: Full-Time

This position will provide strategic direction for the development, execution and measurement of integrated marketing communications plans to effectively advance Client’s internal and external strategic initiatives and social media platforms. These range from employee value proposition and talent acquisition efforts to employer brand and the value of mining and copper. This position will manage the company’s social media staff and support other company functions to develop clear and actionable marketing and communication plans.

  • Provide strategic direction for the development and execution of comprehensive marketing communications plans and campaigns aligned to strategic initiatives such as employee value proposition, talent acquisition, and copper as a critical mineral.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including industry associations, HR, talent acquisition and other teams to gather insights, align strategies and deliver cohesive messaging.
  • Provide strategic direction for the company’s social media efforts, including developing a global social media editorial team to better align content across all company operations.
  • Monitor and analyze the performance of marketing communications and social media efforts and adjust strategies and tactics based on data and market trends to optimize results.
  • Stay current on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging best practices in marketing to maintain our competitive edge.
  • Provide counsel and direction to various functions to develop clear and actionable marketing and communications plans.
  • Ensure all marketing materials adhere to our brand guidelines and reflect our company’s identity and values.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • This position requires international air travel. In accordance with Client’s requirement for all employees whose job requires international travel, if you are hired you will be required to submit proof that you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in order to travel by air internationally, unless the company has granted a medical or religious accommodation.
  • Bachelor’s Degree and ten (10) years of experience in Marketing, Public Relations, Mass Communications, or similar field or equivalent, including seven (7) years relevant experience managing a team and developing and executing compelling, innovative and engaging content and communications campaigns.
  • Business acumen (financial/market conditions, industry activities; marketing, communications technology)
  • Understanding of content creation, copywriting, and storytelling techniques to engage and influence target audiences.
  • Knowledge of internal communication best practices for engaging with employees and supporting internal departments in achieving organizational goals.
  • Knowledge of content management systems and content marketing strategies.
  • Ability to conduct market research to identify trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscapes.
  • Knowledge of tools and methodologies for competitive analysis.
  • Excellent command of grammar and knowledge of AP writing style
  • Detail-oriented; strong organizational, prioritization and project management skills
  • Strong work ethic and able to work at a fast pace, while maintaining high accuracy and quick turnaround time on assigned projects.
  • Strong collaborator with the ability to seek and value input. High level of professionalism and confidence to work effectively with employees from all levels of the organization, including senior leaders, functional managers, engineers, and the general employee population.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a multi-location organization with multi-national/global communications and mining, natural resources, or similar industry
