Senior Researcher

Duration: 12 Months+

• Applicants will be provided the opportunity to actively participate in Client’s discovery and development of novel therapeutic bispecific antibodies, antibody drug conjugates, and other biologic-based molecules.
• This research position will utilize tissue culture and molecular biology techniques to generate novel antibodies, bispecific antibodies, antibody drug conjugates, and therapeutic biologics to contribute to Clients’ biologics pipeline. The role of a Senior Researcher in the Biologics Discovery & Development department is a dynamic role requiring a willingness and ability to learn new laboratory techniques, instrumentation, and software. Applicants must demonstrate an open and proactive attitude. The ability to multi-task in a team-oriented environment and the ability to effectively communicate experimental results is a must. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.

Required:

• BS/MS in biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, or related field with 0-1+ (BS) or 0+ (MS) years research.
• Must demonstrate research experience in mammalian recombinant protein expression systems, tissue culture, molecular cloning techniques (e.g., PCR, RT-PCR, restriction enzyme cloning, LIC), and protein analytical methods (e.g., Western blot, SDS-PAGE, ELISA, etc.).
• Experience with yeast and/or phage display, FACS, non-mammalian protein expression is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee planning of resources and monitoring, ordering, and stocking of research needs.
• Independently design and execute experiments, conducting research activities within established guidelines.
• Review the effectiveness of current laboratory procedures and equipment.
• Test standard procedures to provide recommendations for improvement for use across programs
• Document research plans and maintain accurate and current record-keeping of experimental results.
• Collect and collate results and inferences to report to supervisor, project team and senior colleagues.
• Collaborate effectively with fellow project members to accomplish team goals in an efficient manner
