Social Media Content Creator/Producer

Seeking a freelance Social Media Content Creator/Producer/Writer for the brand with a passion for conceptual creative, a love for social media and an ability to shoot and edit incredible video and photographic content on the fly. You will play a pivotal role in creating and implementing social media strategies to enhance the online presence and engagement of our brand.

As a lead content creator for Fisher-Price you will work closely with our social media team to develop concepts, shoot videos and stills onsite at company HQ (or travel to events/offsite locations when necessary), edit videos, write caption copy and create anything else necessary to create go-live-ready content. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistency in messaging, brand voice, and overall digital marketing efforts.

Responsibilities:

1. Content Creation:

• Ideate and develop fresh social media content concepts in partnership with the brand, social & creative teams, ensuring work delivers on the brand’s overall social strategy and aesthetic.

• Produce engaging and shareable content for various social media platforms, including but not limited to video, photography, motion graphics, etc.

• Stay abreast of industry trends and leverage emerging platforms to drive innovation in content creation.

• Post-Production: Editing, color correction, sound clipping and mixing, motion graphics/animation, and photo retouching.

• Write copy and captions for all assets, including the use of hashtags when relevant.

• Troubleshoot, identify, and resolve technical issues.

• Distribute assets to all project stakeholders, make any changes or adjustments needed, and redistribute final assets in a timely and effective manner.

• Lead sourcing of equipment and software needed to support shoots.

2. Strategy Development:

• Work closely with the marketing team to implement/execute social media strategies that align with overall marketing goals.

• Analyze social media data and metrics to optimize content and strategy for improved performance and creative learnings.

3. Audience Engagement:

• Foster a sense of community by actively engaging with followers, responding to comments, and facilitating discussions.

• Monitor social media trends and incorporate relevant topics into the content strategy.

4. Collaboration:

• Coordinate with cross functional teams to create visually appealing and cohesive content.

5. Monitoring and Reporting:

• Provide regular insights and recommendations to improve creative based on performance metrics.

• Stay up to date on new technologies and recommend them when appropriate.

• Stay abreast of industry trends and leverage emerging platforms to drive innovation in content creation.

6. Brand Consistency:

• Ensure that all social media content aligns with the brand voice, guidelines, and overall marketing objectives.

• Implement and enforce best practices for social media communication.

• Provide creative feedback on social media content created by other partners to ensure consistent brand voice across all content – whether produced internally or externally.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Proven experience as a Social Media Producer or similar role.

• In-depth knowledge of social media platforms, trends, and best practices.

• An ability to take direction, work independently, and be a self-starter.

• Strong creative and analytical skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.

• Familiarity with social media analytics tools.

• Experience using handheld DSLR, phone, and video cameras to capture candid, unscripted, and scripted video and still content.

• Experience creating, editing, and color-grading video content using Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, Inshot or Capcut or similar programs.

• Familiarity with studio and natural lighting.

• Experience writing social-first copy and captions with deep understanding of hashtag strategies.

• Basic experience mixing and editing sound.

• Basic experience retouching still photography.

• An ability to tell a concise, complete, engaging, memorable story in a limited window of time.

• Have a finger on the pulse of pop culture as well as the latest social media content and trends.

• Excellent interpersonal skills and experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to brainstorm, develop, and execute social media and video campaigns.

• Acute attention to detail and an ability to work within tight deadlines.

• Demonstrate a strong ability to think on your feet and create engaging content spontaneously.

• Showcase the capacity to improvise in response to real-time events, trends, and audience interactions.

• Proven experience in developing content that feels authentic and unscripted, fostering a genuine connection with the audience.
