A senior computer lab manager is a professional responsible for overseeing and managing the operations of the computer laboratory in open lab environment. Their role involves ensuring that the computer lab runs efficiently and provides the necessary resources and support for its users and technology partners. Here are the key responsibilities and duties typically associated with a senior computer lab manager:

  • Lab Operations Management: Managing all aspects of the computer lab's operations, including early platform hardware and software builds, scheduling, and BIOS management.
  • Hardware and Software Maintenance: Ensuring that all computer builds and related equipment in the lab are functioning correctly and shipped out to technology partners. This includes BIOS updates, send out for rework repairs when needed, and upgrades as needed.
  • User Support: Providing technical assistance and support to technology partner users, which may include troubleshooting hardware and software issues and answering user queries.
  • Inventory Management: Maintaining an inventory of computer equipment and software BIOS management with our technology partners. Ordering and managing the procurement of new hardware and software as needed. Maintain early memory and component samples that come in for development teams.
  • They must have strong technical skills, excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of computer systems and software. Additionally, they should be adaptable to changes in technology and be able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.

Education: Need to have completed tech school
