Summer Intern, Process Science, Process Development, Upstream

Duration: 2 Months

Location: 100% Remote

The role will be with the technology development sub-group, which is responsible for identifying and evaluating new technologies to implement into our upstream process development team with the goal of improving lab operations and/or product titers.  Responsibilities and key deliverables of the intern will include researching potential vendors of new technology, coordinating vendor meetings, and possibly identifying a new technology for the upstream team to evaluate. 

Intern Job Responsibilities/Deliverables

As a member of the upstream process development team, the intern will be involved in learning and participating in daily lab operations, such as helping set up and monitor bioreactors, warming media and passaging seed trains, and participating in the search and implantation for new upstream technologies.

Intern Qualifications and Skills

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in life sciences
  • Must have an interest in pursuing a career in Life Sciences/Biotech/Pharmaceuticals
  • Ability to manage workload effectively including planning, organizing, prioritizing, and meeting deadlines
  • Basic lab skills preferred
  • Clear, concise communication
