Supplier Chain Planner

Reporting to the Demand Planning Manager, the primary responsibility of the Demand Planner will be the creation of a global demand plan that supports our sales objectives while minimizing stock outs and excess inventories.
-Gather, analyze and validate data that will be used in preparing forecasts
Utilize MS Excel and ERP to develop demand plans to maximize business targets (Sales, Inventory, Customer Order Fulfillment)
-Review, assess, and report on supply and demand variability and identify opportunities to manage and mitigate risk
-Evaluate the impact of risk to revenue for your product portfolio as a result of material/capacity constraints
-Develop and maintain an inventory and replenishment plan that supports our service levels while minimizing inventory exposure
-Work with Product Managers, Product Development and Operations to ensure a successful transition of NPI to Supply Chain and Manufacturing
-Monitor demand changes related to product transitions, identify potential risks, provide recommendations to mitigate risks, and project end of life inventory exposure
-Evaluate sales opportunities against forecasted demand and highlight any potential risks including material availability and production capacity
-Consult with Product Managers, Product Development, Sales, Finance and Operations to obtain relevant data and insights on demand
-Prepare reports and data that will be used in the Sales & Operations Planning Process including assumptions, analysis and recommendations
-Work with regional Supply Planners and Order Management to manage exceptions caused by significant, unexpected events
-Provide ad-hoc reports and analysis as required
-Provide input to the continuous improvement of various planning tools
-Provide input to the development of inventory policies and parameters

Qualifications:
-Minimum 3 years prior experience in a similar planning role
-Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Supply Chain required
-Strong communication skills required (written, verbal and presentation)
-Strong computer skills and Advanced -Level Excel are required
-Strong analytical skills required
-Working knowledge of ERP systems, within a manufacturing environment required
-SAP experience preferred
-Ability to take on new challenges
-Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment required while maintaining focus and a high degree of accuracy
-Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of changing situations
-Excellent organization, time management, and follow-up skills
-Ability to take initiative and exercise excellent judgment

Basic Requirements
-Bachelors Degree Preferred, High School Diploma or GED Required
-3 years planning experience
