Supply Chain Analyst V

The main function of a Supply Chain Analyst is to define, build, manage and measure global asset management. This supply chain analyst will be focused on building cost intelligence tools (cost models, TCO, benchmarking) and performing cost analysis/assessments to enable sourcing managers to have strategic negotiations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Build Should Cost Models for any of the following products/components/services (EE-ME-Power-cables-MVA)
  • Build benchmarking data related to cost – historic, competitive and market – and understand supplier costs, impact of design changes and cost/value drivers for the equipment and services involved.
  • Review and potentially optimize suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, and other relevant factors.
  • Define and analyze metrics that inform the success of products.
  • Drive automation on an aggressive timeline with a team of world-class engineers and designers
  • Develop and maintain a well-coordinated internal relationship with key decision makers and with the wider enterprise organization.
  • Solicit bid proposals, and review requisitions for goods and services.
  • Conduct cost related design workshop and partner closely with engineering to influence product cost in the early new product introduction phases.
  • Confer with staff, users, and vendors to discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services and determine corrective action.
  • Work with data Science team to build roadmap for cost tooling and dashboards.
  • Assist in preparation of quarterly business performance updates and other related analyses, including managing and providing status reports to stakeholders

  • Expert knowledge of supply chain and cost management.
  • Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word and Excel.

Top must-have HARD skills:

  • Experience building should cost models for various products/components/services.
  • Ability to perform detailed cost analysis and identify key insights and opportunities. 
  • Ability to build benchmarking data related to cost – historic, competitive and market and understand supplier costs, value drivers, etc. 

GOOD TO HAVE SKILLS:

  • Experience building dashboards and or excel models to support tooling needs.
  • Ability to partner with engineers and build trust to optimize designs for cost. Strong communication skills would be a plus.
  • Experience analyzing financial reports, working with sourcing managers, building supply chains.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or a related business field required.
