Systems Analyst, Staff

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Partners with business business stakeholders to prioritize demands and requirements, and lead governance meetings to address right business priorities to maximize business value•
  • Leads creation of business cases for potential projects, while includes identifying scope, business value, collaborating with development and QA leads for effort estimation and resource availability, and project costing.
  • Leads end to end execution of prioritized demands & projects, starting with requirements gathering & analysis, solutioning, tracking development and QA, coordinating UAT and delivery.
  • Acts as a subject matter expert & product owner for one or more ServiceNow modules/applications, providing expertise and guidance to rest of the team.
  • Communicates updates and blockers in a timely manner with project managers and business leads via email and direct conversations to overcome obstacles and resolve problems.
  • Participates in project review sessions to communicate project status & discuss complex issues.
  • Actively manages team project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables for projects.
  • Creates and reviews functional and/or system specifications that meet business user requirements, often for multiple large scale projects.
  • Leads collaboration with team members in global regions and business partners to document and present recommendations for improvements to existing and new applications and systems.
  • Identifies resources, delegates work, and reviews the work of team members in order to address changing timelines or priorities.
  • Manages designated work unit by translating business plans into tactical action items, ensuring all guidelines are followed, delegating tasks to meet goals and objectives, and overseeing the completion of work assignments.
  • Helps team members to determine which work tasks are most important, manages distractions, and deals with setbacks in a timely manner.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Product Management - Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) and product manager for ServiceNow modules and applications. Work closely with business stakeholders to gather feature requests, prioritize the product backlog, and steer product strategy.
  • Solution Design & Implementation - Lead the design process to develop solutions that address business needs, ensuring alignment with system capabilities and project requirements.
  • System Configuration & Management - Configure and manage system settings to optimize performance and user experience. Oversee strategic projects from conception through to successful delivery.
  • Collaboration & Partnership - Collaborate with development and QA teams to oversee project lifecycles, ensuring seamless planning and execution. Engage with business stakeholders to elicit, document, and validate requirements, translating them into detailed system specifications.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years IT-relevant work experience OR 7+ years IT-relevant work experience without a bachelor’s degree.
