Ultrasound / Sono Tech - Generalist

Duration: 22 Weeks

Local Pay - $50/hr on w2 & 2000/ Week on w2.

Travel Pay - $60/hr on w2 & 2400/ Week on w2.

Experience in a healthcare setting; knowledge of community agencies and resources

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performing various sonography assessments and examinations. 
  • Identifying and recording appropriate sonography procedures. 
  • Adjusting the transducer for necessary image capture. 
  • Ensuring the safety of the patient while they are in the ultrasound room. 
  • Evaluating the quality of the images. 
  • Presenting still images to the Physician for further diagnosis purposes. 
  • Communicating with the Physician for pathological and normal findings. 
  • Assisting in day-to-day sonography activities. 
  • Completing ultrasound bill forms of the patients. 
  • Maintaining a good rapport with the interrelated hospitals, referrals, and agencies. 
  • Notifying the Physicians about any abnormalities in the images. 
  • Maintaining and calibrating all the ultrasound equipment and machinery. 
  • Maintaining patient records and charts for patients undergoing surgery or treatments. 
  • Helping Radiologists with various cardiovascular ultrasound procedures. 
  • Performing various clerical-related duties along with the work schedules. 
  • Reporting and documenting equipment failures to the appropriate Supervision. 

 

Qualifications:

  • Must have ARDMS.
  • Graduate of the committee of allied health education and accreditation (CAHEA) accredited sonography program (program length 9 months to two years) or equivalent required.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, patient family members, physicians, and other health care providers.
  • Must be emotionally mature and able to function effectively under stress.

Responsibilities: Required Working as per post

Experience Required: 1+ Year experience.

Shift: 5:00 pm - 7:00 am (Thursday 5p-6a, Friday 7p-8a, Saturday 7p-8a.)
