Vendor Management Contract Analyst I

The client  Library and Information Center (BLInC) team manages and supports Company’s virtual library and educational resources for scientific and competitive intelligence, pharmaceutical industry news and analysis, and business and market intelligence. BLInC is seeking a contracts coordinator to maintain the library’s digital licenses, support library operations and perform metrics analysis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for timely communication with vendors, negotiating rates and licensing terms, and collaborating with internal business partners to ensure that all library contracts are executed in accordance with Company purchasing policies. The candidate will also manage user lists for key resources, analyze usage metrics to support licensing decisions and team presentations, and contribute to library operations and engagement initiatives. This position is ideal for a highly organized, deadline-oriented individual with excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Maintain oversight of all library contracts and associated documentation and renewal deadlines
  • Proven licensing, vendor management, and license negotiation skills
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all library vendors with regard to contract negotiations and execution
  • Importing vendors into vendor reporting system as per Company guidelines
  • Coordinate with Company business partners to review license terms and execute contracts in a timely manner
  • Access and analyze resource usage metrics, for contracts, databases and library usage
  • Create and document processes for routine updates to user lists
  • Support the BLInC team’s internal outreach and marketing initiatives to expand awareness and increase impact throughout the organization to include but no limited to organizing external vendor presentations
  • Support the library team with library operations

Required Education Level

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 8 years experience or Master’s degree with 6 years experience or PhD with 3 years experience; degree in library or information science preferred but not required.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years’ experience in contract management or procurement role, preferably in the pharmaceutical/life science industry
  • Experience in a library or knowledge management setting is preferred.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and collaboration-oriented
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to independently execute deadline-driven tasks with the highest level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, relying on experience and independent judgment to plan, prioritize, and accomplish goals.
  • Technical skills: Microsoft Office-based systems including Word, Excel, PPT, Teams, OneNote, and SharePoint
  • Experience and/or strong interest in using data visualization tools (e.g. PowerBI) to support metrics analysis
