Web Developer II

Shift: 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM
- In this role, you will be responsible for improving the user experience of employees through tooling and automation efforts to scale outreach programs for underrepresented communities within Client’s Infrastructure organization and broader tech. You will work closely with program managers and engineers to build systems and expand our global impact.
Responsibilities include:
- Partner with Diversity Program Managers and engineers to scope out requirements and build systems to bring the broader organization together toward the goal of improving cultural awareness, increased inclusivity, and representation of underrepresented people (URP).
- Create user interfaces that empower program participants with the tools to engage and succeed in their professional goals.
- Automate operations that are repeatable, consistent, scalable, and relevant for variable audiences.
- Build and maintain systems and dashboards that streamline the operations of running developmental programs for employees.
- Create and implement methods which increase engagement and active participation of full-time employees and interns in Infra D&I initiatives.
- Partner to quantify community and organizational pain points and challenges, prioritizing action in areas that will deliver the greatest impact.
- Report on accountability metrics (scorecards/audits/reporting tools/surveys) to track progress on key metrics & goals.
- Engage in discussions about product and interaction design.
- Reverse engineer existing code to adapt it to the needs of our programs.
- Identify and resolve performance and scalability issues.
- Build the data infrastructure necessary to support the automation of processes and data visualization of programs across our portfolio of offerings.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 4+ years professional experience building responsive, user friendly web applications
- Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS and JavaScript / ES6, including DOM manipulation and the JS object model.
- Thorough understanding of core design principles and common design patterns of React.
- Experience with relational and non-relational data stores, such as GraphQL, MongoDB and PostgreSQL
- Experience with PHP/Hack
- Familiarity with Flow and Apollo/Relay
- Experience writing and utilizing RESTful API services and performance tuning large scale web applications
- Experience influencing, relationship building and collaboration at global and cross-functional levels
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in improving learning and development experiences through tooling and automation
- Machine Learning experience is a plus
