Contract - 01 Year

A Product Verification & Validation Engineer ensures that prototype components and machines meet durability and performance requirements at key stages of the Product Development Process.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Decide upon appropriate tests to ensure durability and performance of new designs; develop new tests when necessary.
  • Lead root cause investigations and data gathering when prototypes fail tests.
  • Apply mechanical and electrical engineering knowledge to support design engineers, participate in design reviews, and develop test plans.
  • Develop customer understanding to represent the “voice of the customer” and plan tests based on real-world usage.
  • Stay highly organized while managing multiple tasks and data streams.
  • Work effectively with cross-functional teams across various locations.
  • Clearly communicate technical and non-technical information in written and verbal formats.
  • Prepare test stands and equipment for new tests.
  • Execute efficient and accurate activity tests.

Skills:

  • Hands-on skills and aptitude with mechanical, hydraulic, and/or electrical systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Experience with engineering tools, software systems, and databases.
  • Experience with instrumentation methods and test automation.
  • Understanding of product development phases (scoping, design, analysis, testing, customer feedback, manufacturing).
  • Experience with test data analysis using nCode, LabView, or MatLab.

Education/Experience:

  • 4-year engineering/technology degree preferred.
  • 3 to 5 years of professional experience desired.
  • 1st shift position (Overtime may be required as needed).
  • Safety shoes required (internal metatarsals with no flap over laces) from the first day.
