Contract - 03 Months + (Possibilities of Contract Extension)

We are seeking a Buyer with a strong background in procurement and supply chain management to support productivity projects. This role involves coordinating procurement activities, driving cost reduction initiatives, and managing supplier relationships within a manufacturing environment. Sourcing/Procurement: • Manage and maintain iSAVE. • Initiate and manage Requests for Quotes through SSP-SRM. • Coordinate 3F’s, Build Up, and Samples related to project execution and ERP updates. • Update workflows in One Shuttle: SL, Lead Times, MoQ, New Part Creation. • Coordinate PO placement for tools, samples, and production. • Optimize logistics and packaging conditions as needed for plant and project requirements. Project Management: • Oversee project needs and procurement activities. • Conduct risk analysis to ensure alignment with project targets. • Drive prioritization activities based on plant/project needs. • Resolve conflicts between suppliers, plants, and cross-functional teams. • Coordinate part qualification activities. • Plan Productivity Gemba Walks and Workshops. • Collect ideas for productivity improvements from support functions

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist PM with Supply Chain background, performing on-site activities related to purchasing and planning in a manufacturing environment.
  • Coordinate project/procurement activities for productivity projects, ensuring proper deployment of processes.
  • Propose cost reduction initiatives, including supplier changes and quality improvements, aligning with purchasing strategy goals.
  • Maintain financial analytics and regularly update financial tools.
  • Support supplier consultation, selection, and procurement strategy.
  • Lead activities related to the supply qualification system in the plant as per the responsibility matrix.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing, supply chain, purchasing, or project management.
  • Advanced proficiency in English. Spanish proficiency is preferred but not required.
  • Experience with SAP and knowledge of engineering/manufacturing processes.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain principles, including supplier management, cost analysis, and inventory management.
  • Experience with commodities such as stampings, sheet metal fabrication, plastics, or electronics.
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel and database management.
  • Experience with tools like JIRA, i-Project, and i-Save.
